Quiet Friendships Are the Best Kind and I Will Die on This Hill
Not all friendships need constant updates, daily texting, or posting each other every week. Some of the best friendships are the ones where you can disappear for a bit and come back like nothing happened.
The older I get, the more I appreciate low effort friendships. The ones where you can sit together doing nothing and it does not feel awkward. The ones where you send each other something random at 11pm and that is enough.
There is so much pressure online to prove your friendships are real. Matching posts. Constant interaction. But real connection does not need an audience. Sometimes the strongest friendships are private, quiet, and slightly chaotic.
If you have even one person who makes you feel safe being boring, tired, or unfiltered, that is everything. Hold onto those people. They are rare.
