Thrifting Is Fun Until You Start Acting Like a Fashion Archaeologist

Thrifting has fully turned into a competitive activity. You walk in thinking “just browsing” and suddenly you are digging through racks like your life depends on it. Finding something good feels illegal. Like why does this ten dollar sweater fit better than anything you own.

There is something so satisfying about wearing something no one else has. It feels personal. Like you did not just buy an outfit, you discovered it. And yes, sometimes you leave empty handed and smell vaguely like old books, but that is part of the experience.

Also can we talk about how thrifting changes your personality. One good find and suddenly you think you have elite taste. One bad trip and you are questioning every style choice you have ever made. It is humbling.

Even if you do not find anything, going with friends is still elite. Trying on ugly things for fun. Hyping each other up. Leaving with iced coffee instead. Still a good day.
