Can’t I just do nothing?

I swear everyone woke up one day and decided we are now doing morning routines. Suddenly we are all drinking green things, lighting candles before school, and pretending we enjoy waking up early. And if you are not doing that, it feels like you are somehow failing at life before 8am.

The thing is, half of us are still barely functioning. Like yes, I might romanticize my life with music and a cute outfit, but that does not mean I have everything together. Sometimes being “that girl” is just washing your hair and answering one email. Growth.

There is also this weird pressure to always be improving yourself. Skin, body, productivity, mindset, vibe. At some point it stops being inspiring and starts feeling like homework. I miss when doing nothing was just doing nothing and not a “rest day.”

I think the real flex is choosing what actually matters to you and ignoring the rest. You do not need a perfect routine. You need sleep, comfort, and maybe one thing that makes you feel slightly less chaotic. That counts.
